Basic Mediation Training

Would you like to change the way you respond to conflict? And guide

others to work through conflict in a different manner? This training is

an opportunity to hone the skills required for successful peacemaking.

Participants will practice active listening, brainstorming, and reality

checking, handling strong emotions, guiding negotiations and pacing

difficult conversations.

18 hour seminar offered over 4 days:

March 25, 27, April 1, and 3

Thursdays: 5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

Saturdays: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Communication Fundamentals

In this introduction to the work of Marshall Rosenberg, detailed in his

book, Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Compassion, participants

will learn and practice an approach to effective communication that can

be used in any type of relationship. Discover the habits that block real

communication and learn a way out of those blocks.

Dealing with Anger

Learn how to listen with empathy and to transform anger into needs to

deepen understanding and connection in your personal or professional life.

Conflict Management

Participants will learn to look at their current views of conflict,

examine how they handle conflict, and how it affects their interactions

with others. Through exercises and role-plays, participants will learn

new skills for approaching conflict with confidence.

Teaching Children How to Love

This workshop is for anyone who spends time relating to children

(parents, teachers, grandparents, care takers). See how you can use the

rough times in your relationship to help children learn to be

responsible for themselves and care for others in a way that respects

you and them.

Dealing with Regrets

Sometimes, our biggest conflict is with ourselves. This workshop

presents a process for reconciling with yourself when you have done or

said something you now regret.
